Gala Event Planned to Raise Awareness of the Warroad Area Community Fund

Fundraiser to be held on Saturday, June 3 at Warroad Community Park Pavilion

On Saturday, June 3rd a Gala event, A Night to Remember is being held at the Warroad Community Park Pavilion to increase awareness and raise funds to build the Warroad Area Community Endowment Fund.

The Warroad Area Community Fund was established in 2002 to help families in the Warroad area to get back on their feet after the June floods.  The purpose of the fund is to provide for the betterment of the Warroad community in the areas of Arts, Culture, Education, Beautification, Community Service, Economic Development, Tourism and Youth Activities.   The Warroad Area Community Fund has granted over $355,000 to help contribute to the vitality of Warroad.

Going forward, the local Advisory Committee recognizes there is opportunity to give more to worthy and meaningful projects or initiatives will only enhance the vitality of Warroad and serve the needs and wants of future generations.

Today, we see hints of younger families returning home or joining our community.  They are bringing with them new ideas and experiences that they desire for their families.

From a tourism perspective, Warroad is a destination.  People choose to come here.

From a business development perspective, surrounding budding entrepreneurs and small business with talent and resources to help them succeed is critically important.

We need to continue to differentiate our community in creative and innovative ways.  To do that, resources are needed and necessary.

The public is welcome and advanced reservations are required.  Tickets are $95 per couple or $60 per individual and may be purchased by contacting Brenda Baumann at brendab@marvin.com or on-line at http://www.nwmf.org/event/warroad-area-community-fund-gala/.
