The Education Funds are calling for funding proposals for programs and services that benefit charitable, educational and public purpose activities, projects, or services.

The desired outcome for grants from the Warroad Area Education Endowment Fund is to benefit the area’s students, staff, educational programs, and institutions.

The desired outcome for grants from the Gaylord A. Gunderson Education Fund is to provide funding for the purchase or repair of equipment or project improvements at ISD #690. Preference may be given to vocational or technical programs.

Typically, grant awards will average $1,500 in size with special consideration for larger awards for eligible projects which have limited funding sources. The grant requests must meet the mission of each fund as stated above. All requests for proposals require administrative approval from the school principal.

Selection criteria will focus on how the project reaches beyond traditional opportunities, how inclusive it is to all types of diversity, and the number of participants that are served and the sustainability of the benefits to education.

The deadline for submission of proposals is April 27, 2018. Grants will be awarded by June 15, 2018. Applications will be available at the Superintendent’s office or online.
