The Northwest Minnesota Foundation seeks to "build better leaders" through its innovative new Nonprofit Excellence Program. Through a partnership with the Center for Nonprofit Management, University of St. Thomas, world-class instruction is now available to employees and board members of nonprofit organizations throughout northwest Minnesota. This is an opportunity to learn, grow and advance with classes held in Crookston and Bemidji.

Better leaders make for better organizations and that helps develop the whole community.

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation provides the Nonprofit Excellence Program for upper and mid-level manager in the nonprofit sector. The program consists of two parts: an individual Excellence Component for upper and mid-level managers and an Organizational Excellence Component for upper level managers and boards of directors. Although the two components strongly complement one another and are meant to be integrated, they can also stand alone.
