Warroad Area Community Fund Adds a Charitable Fund to Benefit the Warroad Heritage Center

March 22, 2006 - The Warroad Area Community Fund has recently added the Warroad Heritage Center to its family of funds. The Warroad Heritage Center Fund was established with the Northwest Minnesota Foundation to provide financial support for programs, projects and activities associated with the mission of the Warroad Heritage Center.

Ruth Stukel president of the Heritage Center said "This center adds a value to Warroad in preserving our ancestry that will be appreciated far into the future. This fund will help ensure that future generations can learn from our displays and materials here and enjoy discovering our shared past."

Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF) has made a commitment to make a 10% match for all endowment gifts to the Warroad Heritage Center Fund. It is an added benefit of the NMF Community Fund program, wherein the matching gift will be added to the endowment of the Warroad Area Community Fund, benefiting the entire community with support for a wide variety of purposes.

For more information or to make a donation, please contact Ruth Stukel, president of the Warroad Heritage Center at 386-2500.
