Warroad Care Center Establishes Fund
Warroad Community Fund and Northwest Minnesota Foundation will help with support

March 22, 2006 - The Warroad Care Center recently established a component fund with the Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF). The Warroad Care Center Fund, which will consist of a permanently endowed and a project fund, will become part of the Warroad Area Community Fund's growing family of funds, all benefiting the greater community.

This fund will serve the needs of the aging and of chronically ill people and their families. It will provide financial support for health care related programs, activities, projects, or services that support the mission of the Warroad Care Center.

"With the added financial muscle of this fund, we will be able to afford the extras that might not otherwise be available to enhance the health care services at Warroad Care Center," said Care Center Administrator Rod Kutter. “The whole community can benefit from improvements to the quality of care that result from charitable gifts to the fund.”

As a special, restricted fund of the Community Fund, all endowed gifts will be matched with a 10% gift from NMF, which will add to the endowment of the general Community Fund.

For more information or to make a donation, please contact Caryl Turnow, NMF Development Specialist, 218-463-0440 or e-mail cturnow@wiktel.com.

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation invests resources, creates opportunities and promotes philanthropy to make the region a better place to live and work.
