| Northwest Minnesota Foundation's Organizational Effectiveness Workshop to be Held July 20
June 14, 2007 - Nonprofit executive directors, agency directors and board members now have the opportunity to participate in an innovative and beneficial Organizational Effectiveness Workshop that will help you discover and implement strategies for an organizational development plan.
The Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF) has had a long-standing goal of building organizational capacity among nonprofits in our 12-county service area. We have designed this program specifically to address this goal.
On July 20th at the Beltrami Electric Co-op Community Room in Bemidji, participants will learn to identify the means to create an organization that is internally strong, grounded in mission and producing measurable results. This seminar is interactive, practical, reflective and fun. It will lay a framework for organizational effectiveness, provide an overview of organizational development, introduce organizational review, explore opportunities as well as challenges that exist in the process, and offer helpful tools for implementing an organizational effectiveness process for your organization.
The first session of the two-day Organizational Effectiveness Workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 3:45 p.m. The second session will be determined at that time for the convenience of all attending. The cost is $50.00 per organization or agency - greatest benefit is gained by the participation of both the executive director and a board member. Lunch and materials are provided. There will be time to network with other nonprofit executive directors, agency directors and board members.
Presenter Okokon Udo, Ph.D., is the President and CEO of Distinctive Leader Options, Inc., an organizational and intercultural effectiveness consulting firm. He has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 20 years as administrator, executive director and in direct service roles in the health care, cultural competency and pastoral care fields. He has also served as coach to many executives.
Space is limited to get the most benefit from the workshop. Contact Jane McKelvy, NMF training specialist at 218-759-2057 or 800-659-7859 or e-mail janem@nwmf.org.
