Future Fertile 2025!
Fertile is the small town community of choice for:
- People looking for a close-knit community to raise their families;
- Home-grown entrepreneurs looking to grow their business ideas; and
- Community members looking to age-in-place for their remaining years
We will take advantage of our signature assets by providing:
- K-12 education second to none;
- A full range of core goods and services for residents and visitors alike;
- A wide range of recreation amenities;
- A continuum of housing and care choices; and
- A robust set of entrepreneur support services.
Fertile Destiny Drivers
1) Develop and complete an assisted living facility in the community.
2) Add 10 new single family homes to the community within 5 years.
3) Plan and develop a major recreation facility for community members and visitors, using the Sand Hill recreation area as a foundation.
4) Complete a showcase child care facility that meets the broad needs of families.
5) Develop and implement a strategy that results in a motel/lodging complex operating in Fertile within the next 5 years.
6) Create and implement a set of strategic initiatives that puts the Fertile/Beltrami School District on a path to be a showcase Pre-K/12 system. (Note: A placeholder for now…)
7) Help local entrepreneurs create a new agribusiness venture in the community over the next 5 years.
8) Develop a Youth Center that meets the needs of area youth.
9) Complete north and south community entrances that create a welcoming presence for the community.
10) Develop an ambitious year-round life-long learning program.
11) Add 5 new yearly events that can be hosted at the Fairgrounds.
12) Substantially increase the number of community members actively engaged in creating Fertile’s future.
