All School Reunion Week in Bemidji!

By July 19, 2022 No Comments

The Bemidji community is coming together this week as local residents and visitors alike reconnect and celebrate the alumni of Bemidji High School.

The reunion will be held July 21-23, this coming weekend, with a number of events and get-togethers planned throughout the city.

So … what does this have to do with the Northwest Minnesota Foundation? Well, not only are a number of our staff Bemidji High School graduates but, more importantly, a percentage of proceeds from the event will be donated to one of our component funds, the Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund, which supports activities, projects, or services that enhance or improve the education and opportunities in the Bemidji School District (ISD 31).

Even better, the Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund has received a matching grant form the George W. Neilson Foundation up to $20,000 – so the Bemidji 31 Foundation Fund will be present at many of this weekend’s events to raise awareness and support. This way, when someone donates $10, it actually equates to $20!

For those attending in-person, keep an eye out for this poster board, which has a QR code through which you can donate to support the Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund.

Of course, you can always just go straight to THIS LINK to donate as well!

The Bemidji 31 Education Foundation funds classroom projects and experiences in ISD #31 that otherwise would not be possible! Since 2020, the fund has granted out almost $15,000 to 24 different projects. Follow their Facebook page to learn about some of the grant impacts!
